The Story of
Dani Cherrie
I grew up in Australia, one of
4 children of migrant parents. Our home was an unhappy place
filled with rules, regulations and punishments. My father
knew Scripture back to front and drummed it into us
constantly, yet we never went to church.
By the time I left home, I’d decided God was too hard to
know and created my own belief system but after things went
horribly wrong there was only one thing to do - get another
life. I set out to cycle around the world but adventure only
lasted 4 months before disaster hit again.
Refusing to give up or go back home, I changed my plans and
went to Sinai (Egypt). There I thought I found what I’d been
searching for - A place of belonging, A place of being
loved, a place of being needed.
As I began to embrace my new
life, I was still plagued with uncertainty about issues of
faith, but after a powerful Spiritual encounter I made the
decision to marry my Arab Bedouin boyfriend.
Little did I know the struggle had just begun……
‘Pursued’ is the story of God moving miraculously in my
life.
